The Transforming Journey Religion, the life of faith, Christianity, Islam - all can get negative press these days, as intolerance, violence, biases of all kinds seem to be generated by religious traditions, not to mention the criticisms from science and the humanities about our mythical, superstitious, and narrow world views. Indeed, it can be pretty difficult to be a person of religious faith in these days, especially is you hold to the influences of the enlightenment, and really enjoy science and philosophy. Some of us seem caught in the middle between the "cultural despisers of religion" and those folks who believe that their religion is the only truth in the world. This page is our effort to proclaim our belief that you can be a person of faith, the -Christian faith - in this time in history, and find in that faith resources that inspire, comfort, and challenge us in our daily living. We believe faith offers a vision of lives of lives committed to hospitality, gentleness, justice, grace, mercy, life affirmation, and nonviolence grounded in Jesus Christ. We seek in worship and service to hold to our way, yet be respectful of the ways of others. We seek to develop disciplines of study, worship, prayer, feasting and fasting ,that deepen our spiritual lives. we hope the information we have provided helps you in your Christian journey. -J.
